Earlier this fall, sales professionals from AIP and AIP Publishing gathered in Linthicum, MD for an annual sales and marketing meeting. Representatives from Physics Today magazine, Physics Today Jobs, GradSchoolShopper and AIP Publishing journal ad sales met for two days of learning, sharing, and comradery. Phil Schewe presented Wednesday’s opening session, “Science as an Endless Frontier: What’s at the Frontier Right Now?” This plenary session enabled non-scientists to see how physics is part of our daily lives. This was followed by several hours of sales training and strategies for specific product sales.
The photo shows our combined teams just before Wednesday evening’s murder mystery dinner. The annual event is our main opportunity to educate and bond with our sales colleagues, who deliver over $5 million in revenue each year.
